Actor, writer and filmmaker Jacques Nolot (who starred in the film) wanted to make a film on porn cinemas when movies are still screened on celluloid before they too, vanish with time. The result is an almost nostalgic movie on a dying phenomenon; the cinema as a site for anonymous interactions of customers of the sex industry and those who offer the service. Against the background where sexual longing can be served openly in exchange for money, the protagonists try clumsily to fulfil their own needs for intimacy.
